Shane Bradford
Shane Bradford is a British painter (born 1971) who has established a reputation for his objects that span painting and sculpture – he dips selected objects into gloss paint in a process of precise sequences. The dipped objects are usually appended by his trademark solid drips of thick paint.
In 2007, Bradford won the Celeste Art Prize for Moths, one of his 'dart' series paintings (wall installations of dipped objects attached to darts). Moths featured in England & Co's 2008 exhibition Is there anybody out there? Bradford has exhibited widely in Britain, Europe and the USA.
Works from the recent exhibition Shane Bradford: Selected Works at England & Co (10 April–1 May 2010) can be found under the blue headings of 'Constructions and mixed media' and 'Paintings'.
