Chris Kenny

Chris Kenny's three-dimensional ‘drawings’ and collage-constructions are made from fragments of maps, strips of found text, or even twigs: objects or phrases of the same type are mounted on pins and organised in a way that suggests an intention to rationalise the differences between them. Represented by England & Co, Chris Kenny has exhibited with the gallery since 1992. He was in two of the gallery’s recent exhibitions, Persistent Obsessions and City X, and participated in the exhibition House of Words at Dr Johnson’s House, London. News >

Kenny exhibited with England & Co at Zoo Art Fair in London in 2009 and in the exhibition The Map Is Not the Territory Revisited at the gallery in November. He is also one of the two artists selected from England & Co by the curator of Slash: Paper Under the Knife currently at at the Museum of Art & Design, New York.

Following the Zoo Art fair, his three-dimensional construction with text Philosophy can damp down the hottest flames of lust was acquired recently from England & Co for the collection of The British Museum.

Selected works by the artist are shown here, mainly from our sold archive to give an overview of his practice. Some works are available for sale and others will be added regularly to the appropriate section. Contact the gallery for prices and further information about available works.
