Morag Ballard is a contemporary British artist who has evolved her own individual interpretation of the constructivist language of Modernist abstraction. Her images explore shape, form and colour relationships with abstraction her method of understanding and depicting space. A language of forms derived from the architecture of the modern urban environment is an integral part of many of her recent paintings which depict fictional, illusory architectural spaces.
Ballard's 2008 exhibition, Morag Ballard: Recent Paintings, was accompanied by an illustrated catalogue.
She was included in the gallery's 2009 exhibition, City X, and recently three of her paintings accompanied John Tunnard: Inner Space to Outer Space and St Ives and Beyond at Pallant House Gallery in Chichester.
A group of her recent constructivist paintings and reliefs are currently featured in the Gallery's Summer exhibition.
