Residential live art project, Kelling Festival, Norfolk. Start date: 14/09/99.

Kelling is a small village stretched out along a road leading towards the sea. Some areas nearby suffer severe coastal erosion. I spend the days prior to the festival weekend knocking on the doors of every single property marked on the village map in order to obtain sushi nori (roasted seaweed) spray-moulds from residents’ hands (see also number 6). Each such seaweed vessel is labelled and filled with some matter from the relevant property (pebbles, soil, coins etc).
