Slowly negotiating my route through a 'magic square' of 16 non-consecutively numbered sections, as featured in Albrecht Duerer’s print Melancholia, I strain my native German tongue and mind to count down 15,539 successive heartbeats, equalling the number of days I’ve lived to date (see also number 19).
