The 7-Year Itch

First performance of day counts on the 15,000th day of my life, Cafe Gallery Projects, London SE16, 31/03/02.
Eyes covered, ears blocked and graphite sticks tied to both hands, I feel and mark each of 15,000 consecutive heartbeats with a graphite tick on my drawing surface that also becomes percussion instrument. Visitors can only make their presence felt by attaching a daffodil (Narcissus pseudonarcissus) to the back of my outfit. As I use both hands, two major tick clusters evolve within a large drawing, appearing like a pair of black-feathered wings. (See also number 35, 47-51.)
