Alastair Mackie

Alastair Mackie (b.1977) is a British artist known for his complex and labour-intensive practice. He is primarily a sculptor and has exhibited widely in Europe, including at the David Roberts Art Foundation, London, and in the group exhibition Distortion at the Gervasuti Foundation, Venice (a collateral event of the 2009 Venice Biennale). Mackie took part in several England & Co exhibitions including The Map Is Not the Territory iii and Sartorial: conceptual clothing, art and fashion. Collections holding his work include the Saatchi Collection, Damien Hirst's Murderme Collection, and the Wellcome Collection.
