His work has also been included in exhibitions relating to self-taught and 'Outsider Art' at Tate Britain and The Whitechapel Gallery in London; The Museum Boijmans van Beuningen, Rotterdam, NL; FRAC Picardie, France; The New Museum, New York; and The Irish Museum of Modern Art, Dublin. England & Co held two solo exhibitions of his visionary drawings, in 2000 and 2002, and published a catalogue: Chris Hipkiss: Visionary Drawings in 2000. He was also included in the England & Co group exhibitions Outsiders & Co in 1996 and Obsessive Visions in 2001.
